Shared or individual: choosing a port
What a shared port really means, when it is enough and at which point it is time to move to a dedicated one.
We offer two types of ports, and the choice affects both the price and how soon you can start working.
Shared
A shared port is used by several clients at once. The number of seats per port is capped and every port is checked before it goes out, so neighbours do not turn it into a dumping ground. Besides the price, the main upside is that the port is issued automatically right after payment, with no operator to wait for.
Individual
An individual port is shared with nobody. The whole channel is yours, the IP rotates from a button in the dashboard, and no outside activity touches the reputation of the address. An operator sets such a port up, usually within half an hour.
How to choose
- One or two accounts, manual work, need to start today: shared.
- Several parallel threads, or software that holds a connection open: individual.
- Need control over when the IP rotates: individual.
- Testing a country before a long-term commitment: take a shared port for a month.
Moving from shared to individual requires no rebuild: you get a new login and password, and the connection scheme stays the same.
